From the series, To the River, by Rylie Caldwell this painting is inspired by the respite and rejuvenation of the clear waters of the Texas Rivers that have been such a formative part of Rylie’s life. The light playing against the water, the tree roots and stones just beneath the water’s surface and the oak trees arching overheard. These pieces are meant to feel like a peaceful escape.
